I stare out at the endless expanse of turbulent sea and see you in my mind's eye.    Your smile...your eyes that see into the very depths of  my soul...your sweet lips that have tasted mine... seem only an arm's length away when in reality you are as far from me as the end of  the ocean.  How I wish you were here beside me.  How I wish you could feel the damp salt spray on your cool face and feel the fierce wind tearing through your hair.  How I wish your arms were around me, holding me close, warming me against the bitter cold which swirls around my loneliness.

I miss you my love.  Time and distance are our enemies...yet I know that one day we will be as one...together in body as well as in spirit.  Only then will my loneliness disappear as the waves that crash upon  the distance shores.  Only then will my life be complete.
