~Faery Song~
We who are old, old and gay,
O so old!
Thousands of years, thousands of years,
If all were told:
Give to these children, new from the world,
Silence and love;
And the long dew-dropping hours of the night,
And the stars above:
Gie to these children, new from the
world,
Rest far from men.
Is anything better, anything better?
Tell us it then:
Us who are old, old and gay,
O so old!
Thousands of years, thousands of years,
If all were told.
William Butler Yeats

~Lothlorien is My Home~
Resting by the Lily Pads
For months she's walked alone
"Why should I leave Lothlorien ?"
"This land has been my home"
"I may be the last one here"
"The others having flown"
"I will not leave, I will not go"
"Lothlorien is my home"
She stumbled to the gravel pits
She kicks a tiny stone
"I cannot leave, I want to stay"
"Lothlorien is my home"
"Just because the big folk come"
"and claim it for their own"
"they'll never make me leave this place"
"Lothlorien is my home !"
Then on the Mole-Hill head in hands
she sits, her wings droop low
""They have no right to force me out"
"They wont!..I will not go!"
"Pssst.."comes the sound so soft and sweet
somewhere from down below
"They never forced us out of here"
"we too refused to go"
She peeked into the mole-hills hole
and saw a silver light
For fairies everywhere she saw
just hiding out of sight
"They never left, they just hid"
"I knew they'd never roam"
"My fairy folk STILL all live here"
"Lothlorien IS our home"
