Former Limerick starlet James Ryan is the latest ex-GAA player to dedicate himself to writing with the release of his new book, “Sure Tog Out Anyway”.
Ryan has represented Limerick in senior football and hurling, winning the man of the match when the Shannonsiders won the title from Munster Hurling in 2013.
The book, aimed at children, discusses the importance of playing sports from an early age and teaches adults and children that winning is not the end.

Ryan was a prominent member of Limerick’s two senior panels in 2008 after two years with footballers, before focusing solely on hurling from 2011. He helped Limerick end a 19-year wait for provincial honors. in 2013 and was team captain in 2017, before moving away from the panel.
